Images not displayed on WordPress
-
This topic might already have been resolved but I could not find the proper page. So here it goes.
I am not able to view images on any wordpress.com sites, including mine(istheurlavailable.wordpress.com). I have tried from both my work place as well as my personal computer and also using multiple browsers but I still can’t see anything. At the same time, some of my friends have told that they can see the images easily. When I click on any image it just says that the requested url could not be retrieved and that the connection timed out. Can somebody help me please.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Will you please provide Staff with some details in a support ticket by posting the answers to these questions into the support ticket.
1. How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. It sounds like there could be a problem with your ISP. Can you access any of these directly?

Check your browser’s settings/preferences, as well as any firewall you may have installed, and make sure WP hasn’t been excepted from loading images.

I was referring to how to display the screenshots here. Sorry for being ambiguous on that. And what preferences should I check for the settings you mentioned? Thank you for replying.

I am having the same issue. I was inserting a couple of images to my posts today. But the browser doesn’t seem to be able to retrieve the images.

@damodarant:
a) You upload the screenshot to your blog via Media > Add New, copy the file URL, paste it here.
b) Depends on the browser and on whether you’ve got a PC or a Mac. On my Mac, for example, I select Preferences form the Firefox menu, click the Content icon, click Exceptions next to “Load images automatically”.@akshayatmultunus:
You mean when viewing the actual blog or when trying to upload the images? If when viewing the blog, all the images or one post only? Which post? Please be precise when asking questions! -
@panaghiotisadam
Sorry for that.
Right now, images are not being loaded for any posts. Examples –

@panaghiotisadam, I have created a blog in which I am uploading the image. I am not sure if the image is uploaded because I can’t see the image :)
-
@both: I can see all your images. I don’t have any further advice to give other than timethief’s suggestions and my additional one.
