Images not displaying correctly

hi everyone, some of the images on my latest post are not appearing on the live site. I have tried uploading them to media library first, I’ve tried toggling between tiled gallery and standard gallery. I’ve cleared cache, tried deactivating my current theme and some of the image plug ins and nothing has worked. Please can someone help?

Hi,
The latest post on the site livtoexplore.com presently has a dozen images displayed, and I don’t see any empty spaces on the published post that might indicate images that are failing to display. Do you see those 12 displayed? Should there be more than 12?

I’m seeing all of the images. Did you find a solution as I’m having a similar issue on a site I operate. I’ve made no changes but the last 2 posts I just see image placeholders although clicking on them does open up the image.

Hi Neil,
I spoke to technical help and they suggested a bunch of solutions which didn’t actually work. In the end i reuploaded the missing photos several times until, for whatever reason, they appeared there. Now having the same problem with another blog post, in which one of the photos isn’t showing. I have tried doing all the things i did previously but nothing seems to help. Not sure what the solution is but if you find one please let me know!

@musicdoc1 yes they all seem to be displaying now. I re-uploaded the photos several times until they worked. Doesn’t seem to be rhyme or reason to it. Now the same issue is happening on another blog post: https://livtoexplore.com/oxford-in-a-day-the-best-things-to-see-and-do/ where one of the photos is not displaying.
Not sure what the solution is but if you have any ideas it would be much appreciated! Thanks

I’m sorry for the long delay in getting back to this topic. All the images in the post https://livtoexplore.com/oxford-in-a-day-the-best-things-to-see-and-do/ also appear to be displaying perfectly. Have you tried waiting a while to see if they load, but slowly, or try reloading the post?
If the issue persists, you may call for staff attention to the topic by adding a “modlook” tag to the sidebar here. Staff will respond here.

@musicdoc1 it still looks like one of the photos is not displaying on that post (showing a bridge, after the ‘bridge of sighs’ paragraph. Just before a photo of an older gentleman outside a building). It doesn’t seem to be showing for anyone else I know either so not an issue on my end. I have tried reuploading the photo, tried toggling between gallery and image, tried deleting it and putting it elsewhere in the post. But it still shows a blank space and a question mark.
I have addes the tag as you suggested so hopefully staff can help. The issue seems to be getting worse as well – I have looked back at older posts which previously displayed photos correctly and now many of them are either displaying incorrectly (same as above, a space with a question mark) or completely have disappeared. This is incredibly frustrating.

Do you mean this photo https://i0.wp.com/livtoexplore.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG_9953.webp?resize=683%2C1024&ssl=1 of the Bridge of Sighs in Oxford? It’s visible. Have you tried viewing these posts with various browsers, and/or alternate devices?
