Images not displaying in recent posts

The last two posts I have created for this site are not displaying the images in the gallery. Instead there are just picture place holders. If you click on these the images open as expected. I am happy that I am doing everything exactly as I have when creating previous posts and all software is up to date.

This issue where gallery images appear as placeholders but open correctly in a lightbox is typically caused by a conflict with Lazy Loading or an image optimization service like Jetpack’s Site Accelerator. When these systems fail to ‘trigger’ the image to appear, only the placeholder remains visible. I recommend temporarily disabling any image acceleration or lazy-loading settings in your plugins to see if the images return. Additionally, since the images work when clicked, your files are safe, but your site may need to ‘Regenerate Thumbnails’ to ensure the smaller gallery versions are correctly linked to your latest posts.
