Images not linking to imported Posts

  Hello

  I’ve been trying to import an old site’s blog into a new site. Seems easy enough. Tools>Export> All Content. Save the XML file onto my computer, go to the new site, Tools>Import>Wordpress, Browse my computer for the XML file then upload. I check off to import all media etc. It uploads fine, citing no errors. All the images are in my media library and all the posts are in my blog roll. The only issue is none of the images that imported are linked with their respective posts. Every post is devoid of images even though they were all imported into the new media library.

  I’ve seen a few people with this issue but mostly it is staff taking care of the problem so I’m not sure where to turn. Any help is appreciated.

  The only issue is none of the images that imported are linked with their respective posts. Every post is devoid of images even though they were all imported into the new media library.

  Please provide the address of the website referred to, and an example of a post (URL, please) where the imported images fail to appear.

  The first post on the new blog has an image but I put that in there manually. The rest have nothing.

  The image that isn’t being linked is the featured image if that helps…

  Yes, I see. That would be quite a lot of unexpected work to have to add each featured image again. I’ll tag the topic for staff attention. Please wait for a staff member to respond.

  Thanks guys! I am working on this site for a client so I didn’t set up the initial WordPress account. Apologies for the mixup and thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
