Images not loading

  Images are not loading on my website for the entire day. I also run another site having the same problem http://athensscienceobserver.wordpress.com that is having the same issue. Browsing through other wordpress.com sites is showing the same issue. Is this a global problem? Any ideas on when it will be fixed?

  Hey jefferycannon,

  I went to both http://athensscienceobserver.wordpress.com/ and http://jefferycannon.wordpress.com/. I did not experience any issues with image loading. I have not experienced anything usual today either. Might be local to you…

  Wow, that’s hard to beleive. No images are showing up on my computer, phone, or a friends computer for either of the two unconnected sites. when you visited the jefferycannon site, was the slider working?

  It appears to be working, but there’s only one article to slide (so it doesn’t actually go anywhere).

  Wow, very strange. I just discovered more information. Accessing the page using my cell phone’s internet connection loads the images fine. My regular internet network is not loading wordpress images. This is a university campus connection, I’m at a loss as to why wordpress.com images specifically will not load. I’ve had few or no problems with other sites

  I would consult with your department/school/unit IT person first and if that’s not applicable, get in touch with the unit that handles your campus computer technology services.

  Hi Jeffery,

  I just wanted to confirm that I’m seeing your images too. You might try reaching out to the IT department at your university. I’ve been on a few locals networks where their internet security settings were tightened down to the point of preventing me from seeing and uploading images on my WordPress blog. You can get around not seeing your own images by setting up a proxy server, but it will slow down your connection some.
