Images not loading
-
Hello, I’ve encountered an issue where wordpress is not loading my images (.png, nor .jpg). I can upload to the media library fine, but the images won’t show on my website and appear as broken. When clicked “open in new window” I receive a message “504 Gateway Time-out — nginx”.
Product images I uploaded yesterday (and made products for) are viewable, but products I added a month ago have broken images. Trying to make a new product with newly uploaded images (which can be seen in the media library) allows for a product, but with a broken image.
I have checked that all addons are up to date, and that the latest wordpress version is installed.
I have purged cache, and tried optimizing everything once more, as well as updating the CSS, but to no avail.
Is anyone else having issues? I assume it is because of a recent update?

Hi there, while I noticed that your above site isn’t hosted here on WordPress.com, whose forums these are, I am encountering the same issue on my two primary upgraded WP.com sites. I ended up turning off the Jetpack CDN until whatever the issue is fixed.

Thank you, @justjennifer, I’ll try that out as well.
I’m not sure where I should turn to though, if not here, since I am using wordpress? Should I ask Loopia in my case, maybe?

Hi there, glad to hear that turning off the Jetpack CDN did the trick.
I’m not sure where I should turn to though, if not here, since I am using wordpress? Should I ask Loopia in my case, maybe?
These forums are specifically for sites hosted on WordPress.com, and since your site (baphomet.se) is a self-hosted WordPress installation, a couple of better places to get help would be:
- The WordPress.org support forums at https://wordpress.org/support/ for general WordPress questions
- Loopia (your hosting provider) for anything server-related
- The Jetpack support page at https://jetpack.com/support/ for Jetpack-specific issues, since that’s where the CDN feature comes from
You had the right instinct when you mentioned Loopia. For Jetpack questions specifically, the Jetpack support page linked above is a great starting point.
That said, if you ever find yourself wanting direct access to support through live chat, email, and priority assistance, WordPress.com plans include all of that along with hosting, so it’s worth a look if that appeals to you: https://wordpress.com/pricing
Glad you’re back up and running!
