Images not loading, website not responding

Hi,
I have a mysterious problem: the images on my website load very, very slowly or not at all, causing a message from my browser: website not responding.All plugins are deactivated, all ads are gone, cloudfare is gone. I have latest WP and theme. Even got rid of the slider. Flushed cookies, no more cache.
On homepage no images are loaded, on the other pages the images do load, but then it gets stuck and I see the message: website not responding. I hope someone can take a look, Thanks very much, Tanja https://whatsupwithamsterdam.com/
