Images not showing as large as used to

  Ever since the layout of wordpress’ “new post” changed, the vertical images that I upload do not show as large as they use to. The old images that I posted are still at their full large sizes, but the newest post… the first time I’ve uploaded using the “new look”… is showing really small vertical images. The horizontal images are still posting the same as always. The only reason I chose wordpress for my blog was because I loved the template and the fact that my images displayed so large. I do the same thing to every image before uploading it. I have a photoshop action for my blog images, so I’m not doing anything different on my end. Can someone please help figure out what I need to do? thanks!

  WordPress automatically reduces your images, when you select full-sized, to 450px maximum width when you use the “add media.” Not a good thing for those of us who pre-size our images correctly.
