Images not showing – Eventbrite

    When I add featured images to my posts, they show up in social media, but they do not show up on my blog. I had assumed that my theme does not support images for some reason, until I noticed that an image was showing up after I reblogged a post from someone else’s site.

    Am I missing something here? Why would an image show up when I reblog, but not in my own posts?

    Hi there,

    The Eventbrite theme you’re using doesn’t support featured images, but you can insert images directly into the body of your post if you want to include images on your site.

    Can you share a link to the reblogged image where you saw the image? I’d be happy to take a closer look at it for you.

    By the way, I stuck with Eventbrite when setting up the blog because it said that you can always change it later. Now, I’m not so sure that everything will stay in place if I change the theme. Do you know which themes I can pick from that support images and won’t cause issues if I switch over?

    You can add images to the body of your own posts with Eventbrite, too, if you’d like, using the “Add Media” button at the top of the editor when you create or edit posts. Featured Images are a bit different, in that they aren’t part of the body of the post — themes that support featured images tend to display them above or beside the post they’re linked to.

    Do you know which themes I can pick from that support images and won’t cause issues if I switch over?

    All themes at WordPress.com support images in the body of the posts and pages. If you’re looking for themes that support featured images, you can browse the WordPress.com theme showcase:

    All of your content will move from Eventbrite to the new theme you choose. If you like, you can also to your site’s Customizer and change the theme from there. That way you can preview the theme and see how it will look on your site before activating that new theme.
