Images not showing on Blog

  Pictures that I have posted to the blog at the beginning of my posts have disappeared, it shows there is an image but it doesn’t display, what if anything am I doing wrong. I wanted to do a book based on the posts but without the pictures this won’t happen

  Have you exhausted your free media storage space? Look on your Media Library page at the top to see if that’s the case or not.

  Have you deleted images from your Media Library? If you delete an image file from your Media Library then you are removing it from WordPress.COM servers and it cannot be displayed when a browser calls for it. In order to have the images display you have to upload them again.

  Have you hot-linked to images hosted on an other site?

  The same thing happens to me occasionally, certain blog post images do not appear when viewing on iMac/iPhone/iPad. Yet when I post the blog URL on facebook, everyone else can see the photo. I created another post to check and it views just fine everywhere.

  @chogman — I checked your site, and I see that about 3 months ago you deleted a lot of images from your site’s Media Library. As timethief mentioned, deleting images from your media library will also delete them from your posts. (You’ll need to re-upload those images and re-add them to those posts to have them appear there again.)

  @bikenewengland — I took a look at https://ipswich.wordpress.com/2014/05/26/theodore-wendels-ipswich/ and I’m able to see all of the images there. It took some time for all of them to load, but in the end they were all there. Are you still having trouble with this? If you are, please start a new forum thread so we can address those issues separately as it’s different from the original issue in this thread. :)

  @thearcticsea — I took a look at a number of posts on your site and I’m seeing all of the images so far. Is there a specific post or page where the images still aren’t appearing for you? If so, please start a new forum thread so we can investigate that for you.

  @shutterspeedaero — This has to do with how your site’s Monotone theme displays images. Can you please start a new forum thread with your question about this? We can then help you with this theme separately from the original question in this thread.
