Images Not Showing Up Correctly
-
I am new to wordpress and I wanted to include some basic diagrams I made in mspaint in one of my first blog posts. Most of them uploaded fine, but one keeps showing up only as this dark gray mess with a distorted section of the diagram visible in the background. Clicking on this messed up image opens a new browser tab with just the correct image, so it’s not too critical, but I would strongly prefer it if the image was just embedded in the post normally. If anyone is familiar with this problem and knows how to fix it, please let me know

The image is on my computer not from the internet. When you click on it, it takes you to the correct image, here: http://supremecourtofgaming.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/hex-hex-4-players4.png

Hi supremecourtofgaming,
I’d love to try to sort this out for you, as it’s definitely not how WordPress.com should be working for you. I tried reproducing this issue on a test blog using your image, and it seemed to work fine for me. Upon trying to fix yours, though, the image rendered incorrectly again.
I’ve reported this issue to our developers to see if they can figure out what’s going on. In the meantime, you might try resaving the images, possibly as a different file format (perhaps as .gif files) and uploading them again to see if that fixes the issue for the time being.

Thanks jackiedana! I tried saving the troublesome image as a jpeg and it worked like a charm.
