Images not showing up in blog

I noticed last week that images do not show up in my blog posts. Even my background disappeared. I have seen several posts of other bloggers with the same problems and so far NOBODY has solved this. I am using images uploaded to the Media gallery.

Could you please tell me exactly where are you facing the issue?

Older posts with images still have images. Images are not showing up in new posts… even my background has disappeared, even though it is in the media gallery/library. I noticed this last week.

My blog (thebellaphoto.wordpress.com) is having the same issue. Some of my photos are showing up, and others are not. All of them are in my media library. HELP!

If you have JetPack configured and have the “Photon” setting activated try deactivating it. After seeing this issue on two of my WP sites I figured out this worked for me.

i don’t even know what photon setting is… i will have to look for it. as far as i know, i don’t have any plugins installed. i am just using a basic free theme on wordpress’s server. i have also cleared my browser cache several times, and nothing has changed. i was able to insert a photo into one post, but when i went back and tried to insert a photo into an older post, it doesn’t show up.
apparently nobody in wordpress has any clue about what is going on. it’s up to volunteers (kudos and thanks!) to try and guess what is wrong. no official help, here!
