Images not showing up in HTLM Table in sidebar
-
Hi. I created a HTML table for my sidebar to display 8 social media icons. Currently only 3 of the icons are displayed. I tested the links on each and all of them work fine. Also, all 8 icons/pics show in the media library.
I did notice that on the bottom status bar it indicates ‘Unknown Zone (Mixed) Protected Mode: Off’
I don’t know what that means and if that is the underlying cause. Pls. help..I’ve been trying for days to figure out the problem.

Here is the code for that row in your table:
a href="http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=ChefLynnsCookingDiary&loc=en_US"><img title="feedmail" src="http://cheflynnware.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/copy-of-feedburner-icon.png" alt="feed burner email icon" width="45" height="45" /></a></td> <td><a href="http://www.stumbleupon.com/stumbler/cheflynnware/"><img title="SU" src="http://cheflynnware.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/copy-of-stumbleupon-icon.png" alt="stumbleupon icon" width="45" height="45" /></a></td> <td><a href="http://digg.com/users/cheflynn"><img title="digg" width="45" height="45" /></a></td> <td><a href="http://www.delicious.com/cheflynnware"><img title="delicious icon" width="45" height="45" /></a>Notice that the images which appear include a scr=”http etc.
The digg icon and delicious icon don’t tell the brower to display an image: you need to add the scr=”http link to your images. -
Thank you very much for your quick response. But…for whatever reason the ‘widget text box’ is deleting the required ‘string’ (scr=”http…etc)..I compared each icon code to each other and it’s there when I copy paste it but is deleted once it’s saved..

That’s ok, I deleted the duplicates…
happens sometimes…Have you tried making your table in a draft post, then copying the html into your text widget? (which is what I think you did, but just checking…)

On second thought, it would be helpful to see what the code you are pasting is. Paste code between backticks (lower case of the tilde ~ next to the !/1 key, upper left of keyboard)
I have to get to work, but we’ll hope another volunteer can help ASAP!
