Images Not Uploading

    Very often during the the late afternoon and evening in the UK in GMT time zone, it is not possible to upload images to my website hosted by wordpress.com. Whatever method I choose, the first file shows 100% but remains like that.
    In the mornings this problem does not occur.

    Could it be that the WordPress servers are overloaded during this time with users in the US uploading?
