  my images from posts are not showing up on the main page, just a gray and white camera?

  You need to read what post formats are and then select the correct one. See here https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-formats/

  You must be logged in under the exact same username that registered the site to be able to access the site. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:

  http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  Replace NAME_OF_BLOG in that URL with the actual name of your blog.

  Got it fixed. Looks like I had to choose a “featured image” to get more than an icon on the landing page. Thanks.
