images on pagesnot posts?
-
hello sorry to be thick but ive written a page and not a post and have found the images do not expand from
thumbnail size as they do in the posts ….is it possible to acheive this ???? -
Open the page for edit, click on the image in the editor, then click on the image edit button that shows at the upper left of the image, and then click the “file URL button under “link URL” and then click “save changes. The save your page.
WordPress added a bunch of new media settings for us that you might want to look at and customize as you see fit. Got to settings > media.

tried that but…. saved the image at 650 x 460 originally in the media library but when i created the page it asked mefor the size so i put in thumbnail when i tried to edit the image the biggest i could go was thumbnail if i save it bigger then adjust my media settings to thumbnail as the deafault setting will this work ?? ill try again but im cconfused

I would go and change the new settings to what you want to use in most cases, and then go back and edit the post. One thing that will work for sure, is to delete the image from the page, and then add it back in by going to “media library”.

The other way (if you don’t change the settings under settings > media), is when you add the image back in, make sure that in the insert window, there is a URL in the “link URL” field. If there is not, click the “file URL” button, then click “save changes” and then click the insert into post button.
