Images on wordpress are blocked in China.

  the pictures which I upload to the wordpress space cannot be showed up in mainland of China. I understand that there might be some blocks in mainland of China. however, the weird thing is that the pictures I upload to the wordpress space cannot be showed, but the pictures I use “link” from other websites such as “flickr” could be showed.

  Could you help figure out the reasons and find some way to get around? Since the theme I use has to use the ” feature” pictures, I have to upload pictures to the wordpress, in order to use them as “feature picture”.

  Hi there,

  Unfortunately what China chooses to block and not block is not something which we have any control over. If images are being blocked from our site but links to Flickr images are being allowed to function, then Flickr may not be blocked at this time.

  There are not any changes which we are able to make that would allow this to work. I apologize for the inconvenience!
