images resized

The sizes of the book cover images in my posts changed suddenly. Here, for example, is my most frequently viewed post for this past week: http://delightfulchildrensbooks.com/2011/09/18/autumn/. The book images in this post are all supposed to be the same width: 100. Can you please restore them to their correct dimensions?
I am using a customized version of the twenty-ten wordpress theme.
This happened one other time. I contacted the wordpress happiness engineers, and you fixed it. Is there any way I can prevent this from happening in the future? It makes me sad to see all of the blog posts I have worked hard to carefully format screwed up.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Amy,
This change in image sizes is due to a recent update we made to how WordPress.com displays and resizes your images. You can find out more about that here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/images-resizing?replies=4
We also have more information about what changes were made as well as some steps you can take on your blog here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/photos-have-become-small-and-off-centered?replies=23#post-1448135
It looks like your book cover images are currently set as thumbnail images. Under Settings > Media in your dashboard, you will see that thumbnail images on your blog are currently a maximum of 150 pixels by 150 pixels. If you want the width of these images to always be 100 pixels, one solution is to set the width to 100 and the height to a very large number — that way the maximum height won’t interfere with your desired width for these thumbnail images.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that!
