I figured out how to put images side by side. but one of them is shifted higher then the next. Why would that be?

The support docs are at http://support.wordpress.com and forum tag searches are productive.
See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#alignment and here https://en.support.wordpress.com/images/image-alignment/#side-by-side
The alignment icons in the WordPress editor are for aligning text; they are not for aligning images. They are used to achieve wrapping text around images on either the right or left hand side, or to display an image that’s centered without text on either side of it.
Align-left means position left, with the rest of the content wrapping around the right side of the image.
Align-right means position right, with the rest of the content wrapping around the left side of the image.
Align-center means position center, with no wrap-around (= the rest of the content below the image).
If the text beside the images does not occupy the same amount of space that the image beside it does then the text wrapping will continue and the images and text that follow will have a staggered appearance.
To prevent the staggered effect what you do is insert the following snippet of code into the Text (HTML) editor after each image/text pair:
<div style="clear:both;"></div> -
Thank you. I have the alignment figured out. But is there away to prevent the images from being clickable?

Hi there!
Yes you can! Just go into the post with the image that is “clickable” click on the image. You should get a little pencil icon that appears above the image. Click on that and the edit image window will appear. In the edit image window, select the drop down “link to” and choose the “None” option. You can also do this whenever you upload an image. Just edit it before adding it to the post.
Let us know if that doesn’t work for you.
Kind regards,
Jason -
Hello Jason, I did what you said and it is still clickable. Any thoughts? It’s very important that the image on the front page can not be clicked. People that are blind will be confused with the clicking option.

Hi there!
I just looked at the site: https://blindmanitobans.wordpress.com/
Are you referring to the images that have side-by-side AEBC logos? Those images are not clickable for me. Can you give me a link to the page where the pictures are clickable.
Kind regards,
Jason
