Images Slow Loading or Not Loading

  I use a large number of images in my posts. Often 100 or more. The theme I use restricts me to an image width of 450 pixels which I observe (but most of my images ARE that wide).

  I am currently writing a post and have inserted several images so far but am noticing that the images inserted are VERY, VERY slow to load after insertion. I have waited as long as 30 minutes and find that most photos have either only partially loaded or not loaded at all.

  I have not had this trouble previously in my posting since December, 2007.

  Can anyone indicate why I am having it now?
