images squished at times

    My images are coming up squished at times. Is there something I’m doing wrong? When I loaded they were fine, but now that they are part of older posts, they often show up as squished. One can click on the squished image and see an unsquished one, but it is in a field all by itself. Rather ugly.

    What we Volunteers experience is that bloggers are uploading HUGE images directly form their cameras into blogs without first optimizing them for the web and resizing them to fit the space they want to display them i. By analogy that’s like trying to park a Mac truck and semitrailer unit into a Vespa sized parking stall.

    Prior to uploading any image into your blog, regardless if it’s a header image, a featured image, an image in a post or page, in a Post format (Gallery or Image), an image for sidebar display in an image widget or a text widget, you can optimize and re-size it in using a either free desktop image editing software or free online image editing software to fit the space you intend to use it in.
