images to pages

Hi, I’m new new here and new to blogging, so I hope this isn’t a totally dumb question. I’ve set up my blog with the home (Welcome) post, and I’ve created (so far) two pages that I intend as static pages. The first of these pages is the About page. I have text but have been unable to figure out how to add images beside the text (in what would seem to be the sidebar location?). Have tried doing it with the text widget, but that puts the same images on the sidebar on every page, including the welcome post page, which I don’t want. How can I add images to just that one page, down the side next to the main body of text?

I have a second page that is a Contact page. Again, this will be a static page. I’d like to also add pages to showcase my published work, and be able to import images of my book covers or whatever onto those pages. Plus, I’d like to be able to include, perhaps on the Contact page, either a link or an attached resume and publication list. But I guess it’s all basically the same question: how can I create individual pages, with custom images, separate from the Posts which I understand are different (in that they are NOT designed to be static)?

    Thanks!

    Kay

Oops, not sure if my blog address is going to show up in the above question. It’s kayfrydenborg.wordpress.com.

You cannot add images to the sidebar of only one page. You can have them in the page itself, in the content column.
