Images too small
-
When I add media (images) to my post, the editing window tells me they are already 100% of size and blanks out the larger sizes. Yet once inserted into my post, the images still look so small compared to other blogs with the same theme. Why can’t I enlarge these anymore?
As well, when I insert a picture beside text, the text automatically shifts below the image and the left/center/right toggles don’t allow me to align the text beside the image.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The alignment icons in the WordPress editor are for aligning text; they are not for aligning images. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#alignment They are used to achieve wrapping text around images on either the right or left hand side, or to display an image that’s centered without text on either side of it. If the text beside the images does not occupy the same amount of space that the image beside it does then the text wrapping will continue and the images and text that follow will have a staggered appearance.
Align-left means position left, with the rest of the content wrapping around the right side of the image.
Align-right means position right, with the rest of the content wrapping around the left side of the image.
Align-center means position center, with no wrap-around (= the rest of the content below the image).
To prevent the staggered effect what you do is insert the following snippet of code into the HTML editor after each image/text pair:
<div style="clear:both;"></div> -
Thank-you, I understand the align buttons are for text. I was having trouble getting them to actually do what they are supposed to!
I am more concerned with the fact that the images from my media library show up so small in my post. I know they should appear larger. In the ‘edit image’ I can play around with the height / width measurements however it doesn’t automatically ratio them evenly, so the image is skewed. If I do simple math to increase both axis, the image appears blurry ( and they are high quality images). What am I missing?
