Images turn into ‘loading’ icon on live website – why?
-
Hi, I just created my first WP website, using pages rather than blogposts for the moment. This means I’m a newbie, even though I’ve been designing sites for years … so be gentle with me :-)
I’ve added a few photos/images to my new web pages, but when the page is ‘live’ the images turn into a greyed-out images of diagonal stripes, and it looks like it’s trying to load something.
How do I stop this?
Why does this happen?
I’ve CHMOD’d the folder to 777 as suggested on the WP help screens, but no luck.
Surely there’s a simple solution? Am now desperate – can anyone help please?
Many thanks in advance!

We can’t answer technical questions without a link to the blog, starting with http. The answer depends on the blog.

sorry: wrong thread. This netbook seems to prefer choosing its own pages, rather than going where I tell it.

@raincoaster, keep an eye on your netbook. It may be nearing the point where it becomes conscious.

I’ve deleted all the images except one on the home page, at the start of the first paragraph.
I have no idea why the real images isn’t showing … ity’s my twitter image, but the same thing happened to all photos I uploaded.
thanks!
