Images uploaded as the content of my posts are not visible to me

    Dear Friends,

    I don’t see the images which were part of my posts and uploaded by me. My theme graphic as header is also not visible to me. For example, when I open the image links in new tab, then it shows something like “Oops! Google Chrome could not find theachiever2011.files.wordpress.com”. I have even reinstalled the OS so as to ascertain if there is anything wrong with my setting with any application, as was suggested by some fellow members of wordpress. They all have found that images are visible to them, all of them as claimed by them. It may mean that nothing is wrong with my blog (wordpress.com). Is it possible that some setting with ISP causing the problem somewhere?

    Will you please provide us with some details so we can try to help you?

    1. How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. It sounds like there could be a problem with your ISP. Can you access any of these directly?

    2. Are you using http:// or https:// see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

    3.Which browser and version of it are you using?

    4. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

    5. Is your browser version up to date? You can upgrade any browser version here. http://browsehappy.com/

    6. Have you tried using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled?

    7. Do you have third party cookies enabled?

    Dear Friend Timethief,

    I’ve reinstalled the Ghost image to the partition which is fresh and devoid of previous problems. I also then installed google chrome and update till date and then same with firefox and IE 8. Yet the problem persisted.

    Yes I took you words that you are able to see all the images in my posts as well as banner (theme), and contacted my ISP support (they provide me a broadband connection distributed in a LAN setup).

    As I told them about the problem, they tried to open the blog address and probably were not able to see images in the posts, as is the case with me. They would try to find where is the problem tomorrow.

    I’m waiting for their response.
