Images will not Upload

There is a problem we are fixing on a server and you get the error which says “The uploaded file could not be moved to home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/7cb/70/files/2007/04.”
or similar.It is being worked on and it’ll be fixed asap.

I found that happening a few days ago. has something to do with the size of photo being uploaded?
I have been able to upload photos via my Flickr photo site to my WordPress with no problems. The only problem there could be is if you didn’t want to keep that photo on your flickr and delete it, it will also delete it from your blog. :C( hope this helps while they are fixing…… -
I take it this is what’s preventing me from uploading a different title banner for my blog.

Depends. Are you getting that error? if not, how about some details of what you’re trying to do? (File size in pixels, file size in kbs, file name including extention please) Right now all we can do is guess since you’ve given us no details.

I just kept trying the same thing, and it eventually worked no problem. Now I have a nice banner at the top of my blog.

I really wish you would stop spamming the forums though. You only need to post once, especially when they’re copy and pastes.

I am unable to get uploaded avatars to actually become avatars. Quite aggravating. I select, upload, crop, get the All Done! and see the avatars, but when I return to profile page they are not there, it’s as if they never were. Is this a related problem? Firefox on Mac OsX 3.9.

Do a reload of the page. Apple-R.
The name of the file stays the same so the browser doesn’t think it needs to pull it again from teh server.

*sigh* Look up a couple posts at Barry’s post. (And Mark’s as well) I see your images fine on your blog as well. Clear your browser cache and do a forced reload of the page.
if you’re still having an issue, please give specifics. Please remember that we can’t read your mind and can’t see what you’re seeing.
Anyone else tired of me saying “Please give specifcs” all the time? I know I am. I think that should be a sticky.

I think i know what this problem is. It’s in the Browser! When i try to upload image from an old firefox- then it works. without any editing in WP
