Images won’t behave
-
Could someone please help me? I have been at this for a week now and everything is getting worse! My first post I got a picture top and bot of my post. My second post I got em just where I wanted them. My third post the images just stacked up first thing in the post and I cut and pasted to get them where they are now, but the text boxes would not go with them, so I got rid of them. I don’t think I have done anything different but I just can’t get the image to insert after text in my post. They just line up at the top and I can’t seperate them either. It’s like they are all joined. Also the text at the top of my third post has changed and thinks it’s part of the picture description. I can’t work out how to change it back to what the rest of the text is.
I seem to have lost my menu bar!!!!
And if I have to clear my IE browser cache, how do I do that? Please…..help. zenonie

joemel, quit spamming the forums. This is a support forum and not a place to drop a link to your site.

zenonie, there was a problem earlier that caused some formatting and alignment to be stripped out of posts when they were saved. It’s possible that caused your problem. Try adding the images to your posts again and see if it works better now.

Thank you for your reply tellyworth. I did another post this morning and exactly the same thing happenened – my images just go to the top of the post and will not insert where I leave the cursor prior to uploading the image. zenonie

Yes there is a problem, I had that problem [my mouse needed 1st aid and is now only held together by sticky tape] on top of that the image size was large, which with my little scribbles that I illustrate my poems with, shows too much detail, I wanted medium size. In the end in an absolute rage I deleted the whole caboodle and started again when I had cooled down but had to make do with a thumbnail illustration. I need therapy after being on line for half an hour.

I don’t know that this will address your difficulties, but sometimes I switch to the html editor, figure out where I want the picture, and insert it from the media library. Then switch back to the visual editor to make sure it’s in the right place.
(Sometimes I want 2 or 3 thumbnails in a row, and in the html editor it’s easier to see and place the cursor exactly where I want it. )
…but the text boxes would not go with them…
I’m assuming you are referring to captions under the pictures? That feature can be wonky, especially if you drag or cut-and-paste pictures. Actually captions can get strange if you have a picture on top or bottom of your post, then decide to type some more text above or below (respectively); the text can sometimes become part of the caption! Though I don’t use captions very often, I’ve found it best to get the pictures where they belong, the size I want, linked as I like FIRST, and with my post text all finished. Save and preview. LAST add the captions.Hope this will help?
