Images won't load. How can I find out how much space of the 3GB I have used?

How do i know how much space my images have used?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there! You can see how much space is available at the top of your Media Library:

You are currently using 35.5 MB out of 3.0 GB upload limit (1%).

Thanks, I can see the usage now! It is well under the limit

So, that is not the problem with my image uploads. I keep get HTTP error messages when the photo hasn’t loaded into the media library.
I’ve tried different images, different internet connections in various locations. The file size is the same as all the others successfully loaded.

Can you help with any suggestions?

Can you tell me the specific error message you’re seeing? HTTP errors often mean that you’re having a connection problem. Uploading images can be a ‘heavy’ thing for a network, especially if your connection isn’t great to begin with.

Do you have any issues connecting to websites? Slow load times or connection issues?

    Hi,
The error message just says HTTP error, no further details other than the photo name.
I have tried a few different locations to upload to this blog, including fast wifi tethering from my phone and public wifi hotpsots. So I don’t believe the problem is the connection speed as it has worked OK with the other 2 blogs I have made. The first photos loaded OK, just having trouble adding any more.
I have tried different photos from different files with the same issue. The file size has been around 3.5MB

Thanks for following up with that info! Have you tried using a different browser? Also, have you cleared your cache recently?

Hi, I have tried Safari and Firefox after clearing cache on both browsers. Not a successful image upload on either browser. On Firefox I got the HTTP error message, on Safari it didn’t even get to the end of the upload, it just stopped.
I tried uploading to another blog I have created and it worked. It just seems to be a problem with this particular blog.
I appreciate your continued support with this issue.

Are you adding images to the media library directly, or are you trying to upload them from the post editor?

In cases like this, loading directly to the media library is often successful when uploading to the post is not.

Hi, I’m adding the photos to the media library before adding them to the post.
Adding them to the media library is where I get the error messages and they don’t end up uploading to the library.
I just tried a new post in the same blog and the photos loaded (albeit very slowly) It must be something to do with that particular post maybe??

Did you upload different photos with the new post? If so, it’s most likely a problem with the photo you were trying to use before. If you scale the image down using image editing software and then try to upload it, you may have better luck.

    Thanks for the reply.
It was a different photo I was trying to upload.
It uploaded to a new blog but not the blog I was having trouble with.
I will scale the image down to see if that makes a difference.

I had the same problem yesterday and didn´t do anything different than usual, I had to close down and try again like 5 times before I could get an image into the media library.

A lot of other weird things have been happening since yesterday as well. Today in the reader for example, 4 or 5 posts show up and then keep repeating themselves alla the time as I scroll down.

I know there was more strange stuff yesterday but I don´t remember all of it. I´ll see if it continues today.
