Images won't upload they get stuck at the crunching stage

    I am having problems with the following 2 sites:

    http://jobs4thais.com and http://abacusflies.mattyhatton.com in the sense that when I want to upload images even as little as 22k the uploader (standard and flash uploader) starts uploading the images and then stops either earlier than 100% or at the crunching stage.

    It has only started in the past week and I have contacted my host but they say there is no problem their end, I have tried on numerous computers with different internet connections and on all browsers, Chrome, IE, Firefox and Safari it seems to work best in Chrome but gets stuck at crunching.

    I have other WordPress sites which are still working fine just these 2?

    If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated!
