Imaging Problems from Featured Image to post Publish problem

    Hello again,
    -On Featured Images, can the images come from URL type images – for example, Wikimedia common images or must they be our own images? I use the Featured Images but I sometimes use other linked image sources and would like to use it as a Feature Image. The theme I use is Forever.
    -Also, recently, every time a new post is published, a blank page with only the left side information bar appears.

    Are these browser issues? I cleared history/cache and did the Shift+F5 thing.
    Help.

    Hi there,

    You can indeed add an image via URL. To do so, you will need to go to insert a new image in to a post or page, and in the Media Uploader screen, on the left hand side of the screen there are a series of links. One of them says “Insert from URL.” You can click that and will be prompted for the URL of the image.

    In regards to your posting, it sometimes can take a while for the post to show up in that main window. Even if it doesn’t appear there, it should be posting correctly. Let me know if it’s not for some reason!

    Hello,
    Yes, I have inserted images via the Insert From URL mode and clicking from the Zemanta sidebar image area. The images show up in the post however, the images do NOT show up in my media library. From the Insert From URL mode, images did appear before in my media library however, not recently.

    With the Forever theme, in order to use the Featured Image, the image must be in the Media Library. I am wondering why it used to work but does not now.

    Also, I never had problems with a published page showing up blank before (yes, thankfully the post gets published immediately ) so wondering if I need to do something to fix this problem. It was nice to see the post as it looks published to do a quick review for last minute editing.
    In addition, in the Edit page, a note appears at the top indicating the browser needs to be restored and includes a “Restore Browser” link – that I do press to restore. It keeps coming back. The Restore Link.

    Hello again,
    Actually, I checked on my third party cookies (it was disabled) and followed the instruction to enable – this may be the solution. Hopefully this will fix the problem.
