  I tried to post an iMovie and got an unsupported message. I currently have the free WordPress platform while I learn the ropes. Is this the problem? Or size, it’s 8 minutes. Too big? Or wrong type of file? It is stored in my videos section of my photos folder on my iPad.

  The free WordPress.com plan doesn’t allow video uploads. If you upload the video to YouTube (or other supported video service), you can embed that on your site.

  Another option is to upgrade to the Premium plan, which allows video uploads for MP4, (.mp4, .m4v), QuickTime (.mov), and Windows Media Video (.wmv).
