Impact of changing email

  I use a waitrose.com domain email, and it is now very unreliable ( I think they are trying to shed customers!).

  I see that I can change my email in the account settings on my blog. But I’m a tad nervous about doing so.

  I assume that changing email address changes my login name — are there any other implications or impacts?

  Hi there, Your WordPress.com username remains the same regardless of changing email address, so you can log in to WordPress.com with either your username or your new email address (once confirmed).

  Just to clarifiy my WordPress.com username is what exactly? Is it my orignal email address?

  Or is is my blog url?

  Hi there,

  Your username if the name that appears under your profile picture here in the forums: kimwhysall. The username is the unique identifier for your account, along with whatever email you use for this account. Changing your email does not affect your username.
