  I have the XML files from my old site that were created when I clicked EXPORT site hoping to move to a different WP blog. When I try to import them to my current new blog it says they aren’t recognized.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Was your old site another WordPress.com site, or a self hosted WordPress.org site? The differences between the two are explained here:

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  Can you try using a different browser to import the .xml files and tell me if that makes a difference.

  Let me know how you get on and we’ll go from there.
