I tried to import a demo template over 24 hours ago. It is still not ready.

When you say “demo template”, are you trying to import a theme or content from another site?

Blogger installed plugins and third party or custom themes cannot be used on WordPress.COM hosted sites unless you have a Business Plan http://wordpress.com/plans/

Hi krisea28,

The importer is mean’t for importing content rather than themes. As @timethief mentioned, third party themes can only be uploaded to sites using the Business plan:

https://wordpress.com/pricing

balancedonabudget.wordpress.com is currently using the Free plan so you will need to activate a WordPress.com theme instead:

https://wordpress.com/themes
