  Hi — i am importing an xml file from a self hosted wordpress site and its been days and it hasnt finished.. what can I do? Please help

  1. Is the site you have the XML export file from still online?
  2. If yes, what is the URL?
  3. How large is the XML export file?
  4. Did you remove advertising an un-approved comments before creating the XML export file?

  Did you receive any error messages? If so, post them here please.

  Sometimes the importer gets stuck. If the XML export file is large you may have to import Posts, Pages, etc. in separate files. Or if the XML export file is very large Staff may have to do the import.

  I have reset the importer. Can you please try again using the Importer on the WP Admin dashboard:

  https://toexploreandlive.wordpress.com/wp-admin/admin.php?import=wordpress
