    Hello there. I need some more information from you. What are you importing — an XML file? From what site did you do your export? Into which of your sites are you doing the import? Are you moving to a WordPress.com site or to a self-hosted WordPress.org one? Thanks for the additional information.

    Yes, I am importing an XML file. The site I’m doing the import no more, was the WordPress.org platform. I’m doing the import http://pppaudienciadatv.wordpress.com site, the WordPress.com platform.

    I have already received an email notifying you that the import failed, but when access to import <https://pppaudienciadatv.wordpress.com/wp-admin/admin.php?import=wordpress&gt; page still shows the information that the file being rendered: “Processing … We are processing your import and send you a mail when you complete If you do not receive anything within 24 hours, please contact support to resolve the problem.”

    Moreover, as already mentioned in the opening of the topic, replicated dozens of categories, totaling nearly 16,000 items were created.

    Ígor, I was wondering if the target blog, pppaudienciadatv.wordpress.com, was empty before you attempted the import? If so, can I delete all the content and redo your import? Or is there content that needs to be saved before re-attempting the import? Thanks very much.

    No, it was not, most of this content there is of it. You can not just delete the repeated categories? Thus, it would not need to redo the import.

    Ígor, Thank you so much for all your patience. We were able to clear away all of those bizarre extra categories that appeared during your inital import. When you are able, you can run your export…and then your import again.
