import a splinder xml to WordPress.com
-
On the Italian forum there are some questions about how to import a splinder (www.splinder.com) blog to WordPress.com.
Splinder is an Italian blogging platform scheduled to close by 31st january 2011.
It allows to export an XML file to transfer the blog to a different platform.
It seem a different format about WordPress.com xml export, so the only option for users is to install a local copy of WordPress software, install an unofficial plugin (some php script) that import the XML in the local WordPress installation and then do an export to be imported in WordPress.com.
If there was a xml importer for splinder format, it will be great help for users.
Do you think it will be possible?

Thanks for your suggestion! Currently, we do not have a Splinder importer available on WordPress.com. Your best bet would be to use the localhost install of WordPress.org to generate an XML file that you could upload to your WordPress.com blog.
However, I have passed this idea along to our team so we can keep it in mind for updates.
