import a xml wordpress export file

I´ trying to import a xml wordpress export file to my new free wordpress web but I can´t.
I click into my site, tools, wordpress import but a message as ” processing….” is all the time during several days without success to import my xml export file.
My old web was: http://www.carmitaevase.com
My new web: http://www.carmitaevase.wordpress.comHow can I fix this problem?

I see that the modlook tag is already added to this question. It takes a real WordPress person to reset the import process, so please be patient and someone will be along to reset it for you.

Hi @carmitaevase, looks like the import was done but the importer is stuck. I’ll have someone fix that for you. Can you check your media library and posts in the meantime to be sure everything was imported?

Hi supernovia . I´ve checked my media library and post and nothing is imported.
I´ve tried again to import my export xml file but i ´ve a message in spanish “procesando….”
I´ve no idea how long it takes to import. Could you solve this problem?

@carmitaevase I can’t fix things at the host, but I could check your export file to see if something looks wrong there — your host would need to help with the rest.
That said, I only see three media library items here. If I were in your shoes I would simply re-add them to the site and fix any mentions of them.

Ah! My apologies, I’d mixed you up with someone who was having trouble importing into a different host, and didn’t realize it until I saw their thread again.
We are the new host here! :) I’ll reach out via email to get the file so we can try some things on our end.

@carmitaevase we may be able to fix it. I do need the import file though; can you attach it in a response to that email we sent?
Also, are the pictures still online at the old host right now? You’ll want to leave them up until we can transfer them over.

If it is hard for you to import all pcs the only pics i need are the ones from the web menu not the ones from the posts or entries.
On the other hand, we regret to inform you that the pics are not online at the old host online and i have no copy of them.

I have not deleted my pics from my old host but it is closed , i guess. Pls click http://www.carmitaevase.com and it will be great if you can manage it to see the pics.

Alternatively, you could post it to a site like Dropbox. Or, if you have a latest export and you’ve made sure it’s clear of all spam, try uploading it once more via the import tool, then update us here.
