import blog from Blogger to WordPress

In blogger i created the the .xml file so i could then import it in WordPress but there’s a mistake at the end of the operation.
Operation effected in blogger: bacheca=impostazioni= altro : esegui il back-up dei contenuti and i have got my .xml file.
Operation effected in WordPress : i created my account and then I simply import the .xml file as per instructions. Shall I do something else / different? Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi there,
It looks like the file you’re trying to import is the template file from Google, not the content backup. It’s not possible to import the template file here.
Please go to Blogger again and export the Content Backup file instead. Then you’ll be able to import it here.
