Import content from other WordPress account did not work

    Hello,

    I tried to ‘Import Another Site’ by importing the .xml I exported from my other account.
    I received an email telling me that it worked, but I don’t see anything in my account.

    I’d like to duplicate my original website from a different WordPress.com account on this account. I will use this duplicate as a starting off point and change some of the content and titles to create a NEW website.

    Please help me figure this out,

    What is the size of the XML file, please?
    Is the site you have the XML export file from still online?
    If yes, what is the URL?

    Sometimes the importer gets stuck. If the file is large you may have to import Posts, Pages, etc. in separate files. Or if the file is very large Staff may have to do the import.

    Hi there,

    I checked the importer on your site and there isn’t a stalled import in this case. Are you trying to import from the site, andrewlima.wordpress.com?

    I only see 6 pages on that site, and all 6 those pages also appear on chromasight.wordpress.com, so based on that it looks like the import was successful.

    However, keep in mind that your theme, customizations and site settings can’t be exported, so those you will need to set up again manually on the new site.
