Import does not work

    I tried to import from a wordpress export file. After 4 days I didnt receive any email. What can i do to fix it?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    If you are still waiting on the importer to finish, a WordPress.com staff member will probably have to reset it. For that, add “modlook” to the tags section in this forum thread. Make sure you’re subscribed to the topic so you’ll be notified when there is a response.

    The importer got stuck while processing your import — sorry about that! I reset your site’s importer so you can try that import again. If you have any more trouble with it, please let me know. :)

    I’ve tried again and the problem remains. Please, what should I do?

    Hi Denivaldo,

    I looked again at the file you are trying to import, and I saw that there are about 7,000 comments in the file that look like they are spam comments. That number of comments could be causing trouble for the importer.

    Is the original site (with the content you want to import) still available? If so, please log in to that site’s dashboard, go to the Comments section and delete those extra spam comments, and then export the site’s content again. That will create a smaller file that will be easier to import to your WordPress.com site here.

    If that site is no longer available, or if you still have trouble the import after that, please let me know and I’ll see what I can do to help you with that import. (If the original site is no longer available, please note that none of the media/images from that site will be imported to your site here but we should still be able to import the other content.)
