import doesn't import images
-
I was hoping that by cleaning the magic “import attachments” button, the images on my imported blog would be transfered here, but alas, that didn’t seem to happen. Could use some help.
I had completely custom blogging software (written by myself). I was able to transform the xml into something that can be imported as a “wordpress” blog. However, I need to somehow get the src file from IMG’s to get transfered too.
Example:
<content:encoded>
[caption width="653" caption="The happy (and tired) family after a (comparatively) restful night's sleep."]<img src=”http://www.senkeresty.com/brendan/Birth/Family.jpg” width=”653″ height=”479″ />[/caption]
</content:encoded>The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I see large images all over the front page of the blog linked to your username. In fact they are so many images and they are so large that the page loading time is slow. I see the images using IE8 and Firefox 3.6.17 If that is the blog in question then you could have browser issues. Please see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

On the other hand, the pics were very cute, no? ;-)
Sorry, I wasn’t super clear. The problem is that the picture are still pulling from http://www.senkeresty.com, and I want the img src to be from senkeresty.wordpress.com. You get me? I want the images copied from my remote blog to my local.

I think you need Staff help so I’m flagging this thread for Staff attention as the support link here http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ has been deactivated.

That should have happened automatically during the import. :(
Please contact us via support@wordpress.com so we can dig a bit deeper.

I haz a theory! :)
In my xml that I am importing I have…
<wp:base_site_url>http://wordpress.com/</wp:base_site_url>
<wp:base_blog_url>http://senkeresty.wordpress.com</wp:base_blog_url>Will happier things happen if I point these to the original site? :)

That’s possible, but I doubt it at this point. We’d need to see the rest of the file.
If you have not yet done so, please contact us via support@wordpress.com so we can dig a bit deeper.
