Import Error

Hi, I’ve imported 200 posts in movable type format to my wordpress.com blog, but they’re not showing up on the frontpage. They do, however show up in back office.

I gather when you say ‘back office’ you mean the Dashboard -> Manage -> Posts page?
Are they tagged with categories?
Do they have a date? It’s not in the future, is it?
Can you pull them up for editing?
Did you get any error or anything during the importing?

Yes, I mean Dashboard-Manage.
Yes, they are tagged with categories but the categories don’t show up on the front page.
No, it’s not in the future.
Yes, I can pull them up for editting and visit them on individual pages.
No, there were no error.

If you can visit them, I’m having a feeling that they’re not marked as published.
Can you pull one up for editing and take a look under the Post Status tab along the right hand side and see what it’s marked as? I have a feeling that you’re going to Draft instead of published.
If so, I’d send in a feedback and ask staff if they can set something up to mark them all as published.
if not, I’m at a loss. Do the feedback and ask someone to take a look at the issue.
