Import Error from Transfer

    Hi there,
    I am trying to import my wix site at https://libertyandgrace.wixsite.com/libertyandgrace and I keep getting an error message. Any ideas how to resolve the conflict?

    Yes, after finding my site, it says it will import the Six blog and the static pages. Then it says Yes! Start import.

    The error message reads: It looks like we’re unable to reach that website address at this time. (ID: 91c03385-c0bf-4bd6-a9fe-008f1f201791).

    Sadly migrating from Wix can be difficult because they use a closed system and do not provide a way on their end to export content to WordPress sites. This is clear on their export support page, which does not actually show you how to export content

    Because of this, our import tool is best described as a workaround and one that can have issues from time to time.

    The error message you describe is known to our developers and they are investigating a fix but I will be honest in saying we are having difficulty in making headway. I apologize that this is standing in your way to moving your content on to our service.

    On our end we will continue to see what we can do to address this issue, and we are happy to update this post as soon as we have more info. In the meantime other WordPress site owners have reported success in using the “RSS Import” method discussed here: https://themeisle.com/blog/transfer-from-wix-to-wordpress/

    If you give that method a try it should import most of your content (though not your visual design) over to our service. Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

    I am not able to see the RSS feed import option. Is this not available on the free version of WordPress sites? Thanks

    Ah, apologies for not clarifying, that option is only present once you upgrade to the Pro Plan: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    Sadly that is not an option under our free plan.
