When I try to import posts from my Blogger/BlogSpot blog I get the following message:

This has happened 4 times today.
I have imported from this blog in the past with no problems.

Hi there,
We Volunteers cannot help you but Staff may be able to. Here’s the contact link > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ -

We are checking with Blogger to see why this is occurring. For now, you will not be able to use the authentication method to import your Blogger content. We’re actually going to lock that down for now so people don’t use it and keep running into errors.
You can still use a Blogger export file and import it by uploading it to the importer.
I’m going to sticky this post so everyone can see it until we have resolved the issue. We are responding to tickets as they come in at Support.

The Blogger importer has been repaired and you can now import your blogs using the authorization method.

Any chance this fix is something that can help fix the same issue on WordPress.org/self-hosted blogs? I assume it’s an issue with the authorization (maybe scope?) but I’m not sure, and I’d love to be able to use the importer!
-
You will have to talk with the .ORG forums since wordpress.COM is not connected to self-hosted blogs in anyway. I expect there will be some code that you will have to enter into one of the wordpress core files to fix the issue till they come out with the next upgrade.

Yes, sorry to say this is still happening. I’m hosting a WordPress (3.0.1) blog on a 3rd party host and no matter what I try I get the same error.

Hi. I’m having the same problem and I don’t know how to use the upload method to import my blog. I do have an XML file from blogspot but the thing is: where do I upload it?

@llipegilard
Are you rederring to q wordpress.COM blog? How would we know as you have not privided a URL? If you are then simply log into your WordPress.com blog dashboard, then go to Tools -> Import, choose your previous platform and follow the instructions presented.

I did what you said, went to Tools – Import, chose Blogger and it gives me the same error that this guy @eelkat had. I have an XML file but I just dont know where to go to upload it!
