import error when importing from blogger
-
when trying to import posts from my old blogger pages, i’m finding that after i authorize and the page trips back over to the wordpress import screen, something is reporting the URL’s of my blogs incorrectly.
whereas the URL should be http://www.tomhampton.com/blog/blogger.html
it’s reporting the address of the blog as being at the index of http://www.tomhampton.com.
is this a problem with the information that the wordpress import function is pulling over from blogger, or is this a result of a setting in blogger that i can’t seem to track down?
all the information on my blogger dashboard is correct, and i’ve checked and double checked the address as reported on my settings page.
has anyone else encountered this issue?

Tom are you talking about importing into a wordpress.com hosted blog? If not, then you need to check out the other forums at http://wordpress.org/support/
If you are talking about importing into a wordpress.com hosted blog, then I am pretty sure you can only import off the blogger website through the import interface and not off an older export file.

this is definitely into a wordpress blog, yes. the old blog is self-hosted, but the new one isn’t…

The best bet would be to import the old blogger content either into your self-hosted blog and then import into your wordpress.com blog or import the old blogger content into the new blogger and use the import tool from the wordpress.com blog admin. I am pretty sure it will not import the old blogger content from a file.
