Import / Export featured images during blog migration

  This seems to be an ongoing so issue, so I’m not sure if it’s been resolved.

  I am trying to migrate posts from one blog to another. I’ve tried exporting just the posts, or the entire blog, but neither XML have reference to a featured image.

  Is there something I can do to export / import featured images to a new wordpress blog?
