Import Fail

  Hi. I am modifying the text of an active blog – winewomantravel.wordpress.com – to suit a new theme. So, I exported the posts-only from WWT yesterday, then imported that file to the sinthea blog test-bed site so I could see how it looks in the theme, as a sort of a trial run.

  I got a message from you folks overnight confirming the import to Sinthea had been done, but… there is nothing there. No posts. I looked at the xml file and it is full of text, so … what happened? Could you please double check? Thanks.

  Is anyone out there please? I just repeated the import process (noon my time 12 Nov), received the e-mail confirming the import was completed, and checked the sinthea blog and … still nothing. I have cleared cache, re-loaded pages, etc. Nothing. So… two tries at importing and neither one succeeded.

  Please, can someone look into this? Thank you.

  Please, will someone look into why the import is failing? I made a new export file from WWT, imported to Sinthea, received the email from you saying import completed, and once again – for the third time now – there has been NO content imported. Nothing.

  Please, please, please, could someone look into this and hopefully make the import work? thanks.

  Hi Timethief (waving!!) Thank you – I sent one of those direct private support forms when I closed this out – but I’m happy to leave this open for belt and braces and hope it gets solved soon. All subscribed. Thanks very much!

  Oh! If you have a private support request that predates this thread it’s in your best interest if I remove the tagging from this thread so I’ll do that now.

  Actually I only submitted the direct support request yesterday, when this had been ignored for a week (about the time of my last message to which you replied). So far they haven’t done anything – and this morning the sinthea site is still empty of posts. Do as you think best, clearly, whether tagging this or closing it out. Thanks very much!!
