  I have a wordpress.org to wordpress.com import that is not going through. The import page says I should ‘contact support’ if it doesn’t complete in 24 hours, but the link brings me here, to the public forum. Is the a support contact who can look into the failed import? It’s been about 30 hours since I uploaded the xml file.

  Can you give it another try now? If you’re still having difficulty after a day, please upload the XML file to your media library — https://herkindsite.wordpress.com/wp-admin/media-new.php — and reply to this thread.

  Thanks. The second import did fail. Oddly enough, the media imported into the media library but none of the posts or pages. I tried to upload the XML file to the media library but it seems to be an unsupported format. What’s the next step?

  Generally, it’s best to update to the latest WordPress before exporting, if at all possible.

  Sent a new xml file from the latest version of WP.
