  Hi,
  At some point I converted my blog to a website and then back to a blog. I have recovered the missing posts from the internet archive and export them as wxr but when I try to import them to wordpress ir says it is not a valid xml file. What can I do?

  Hey there!

  Are you working on importing that content into your site, aicyss.wordpress.com? It could be that the exported file is too large to import all at once, and that’s what is triggering the error.

  To test that, try breaking the file up into smaller file sizes– (or re-exporting in smaller sections at a time)– then running that import again with one of the XML files. We don’t have an XML splitting tool of our own, but there are free options available online – here’s one you might try: https://www.isitwp.com/wxr-file-splitter/
